Passengers can transfer here between the Downtown Line and the Changi Airport branch of the East West Line without leaving the paid zone. Travelling along the Downtown Line, the neighbouring station is Upper Changi. From the Changi Airport branch, the only onward stop is Changi Airport, making Expo a practical interchange point for travellers heading to or from the airport who are coming from destinations along the Downtown Line.
