Prince Edward Road is one of the three stations that completed the Circle Line loop in July 2026. Its neighbours are Cantonment (CC31) on one side and Marina Bay (CE2) on the other, so trains now run straight through to Marina Bay, where you can change to the North South Line and the Thomson-East Coast Line. In the other direction, the line continues via Cantonment and Keppel to HarbourFront for the North East Line and Sentosa.
The station sits at the southern edge of the Central Business District, near Shenton Way and the Tanjong Pagar waterfront. Office towers, the MAS Gallery at the Monetary Authority of Singapore building and the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre are all within a short walk, and the Shenton Way bus terminal is right next to the station.
