Xilin MRT Station
Not yet open: Xilin station (DT36) is on the Downtown Line extension from Expo to Sungei Bedok, which the Land Transport Authority expects to open in the second half of 2026. No exact date has been announced yet. Until then, the nearest Downtown Line station is Expo (DT35).

Xilin MRT station will sit at 301 Xilin Avenue, under the junction with Changi South Avenue 3 and Laguna Golf Green. When the extension opens it will be the stop between Expo (DT35) and Sungei Bedok (DT37), run by SBS Transit like the rest of the Downtown Line.
The station mainly serves the offices and industrial buildings around Changi South and the nearby Tanah Merah Country Club. It is underground, about 25 metres deep, with one island platform and three exits. It was called Changi South during planning and was renamed after Xilin Avenue.
The 2.2 km extension was announced in August 2014 and was first due in 2024. Between July and September 2026 the Downtown Line ran shorter hours on some Fridays and Saturdays for systems testing ahead of the opening.
Around Xilin station
Xilin station is in the Changi South business area on the eastern side of Singapore, surrounded by offices, warehouses and light industry. Tanah Merah Country Club and the Laguna golf course are nearby, and Expo and the Singapore Expo halls are one stop west.
Tips for using Xilin station
- Trains do not stop here yet, so use Expo (DT35) on the Downtown Line for now.
- Once the extension opens, Xilin will be one stop from Expo, where you can change to the East West Line branch for Changi Airport.
