Phoenix LRT Station
Phoenix LRT station (code BP5) is a stop on the Bukit Panjang LRT in the Bukit Panjang area of north-west Singapore. Every station on this line is raised above the street, so you reach the platform by going up from ground level rather than down. The Bukit Panjang LRT is a fully automated people mover around 8 km long, with 13 stations. It is run by SMRT Trains and links the housing estates of Bukit Panjang and Choa Chu Kang with Choa Chu Kang MRT/LRT station, where passengers can change to the wider rail network.

Most people using the station are residents of the surrounding estate. Some make short trips to shops and services nearby, and others ride to Choa Chu Kang to continue their journey by MRT. Shoppers heading for the malls around the Bukit Panjang town centre also use it. The trains have no driver and run as two-car sets, so journeys are short and frequent rather than long.
The line is partway through a major renewal that began in 2019 and is due to finish in 2026. The work includes a new signalling system, new power rails and replacement or refurbished trains, so regular riders may notice newer carriages and changes to how the service runs while the upgrade continues.
Inside Phoenix LRT station
The platform edges are fitted with barriers, which were installed at all stations on the Bukit Panjang LRT by 2017. They separate waiting passengers from the track and make boarding safer, especially for families with young children.
