Soo Teck LRT station is a stop on the West Loop of the Punggol LRT, serving the housing estates of Punggol and carrying the station code PW7. The station is used mainly by residents of the nearby flats, who rely on it for short hops around the West Loop and for getting to Punggol station, the hub where both loops meet. At Punggol, passengers can change to the North East Line of the MRT for journeys towards the city and other parts of Singapore, so many trips that start here involve that single interchange.
History of Soo Teck LRT station
Soo Teck LRT station opened on 29 June 2014, together with Nibong and Sumang, as one of the three stations that launched passenger service on the West Loop. In those early years, trains on the loop ran in one direction only, about every 7 to 8 minutes, and evening trains left Punggol and travelled towards Nibong by way of Soo Teck. As more people moved into the area and ridership rose, two-way service on the West Loop began on 29 September 2018, making trips shorter for many residents.

Passengers board Crystal Mover vehicles built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, which operate automatically along the elevated track. In 2025 a new fleet of 25 two-car trains entered service on the line, replacing all of the older single-car trains and some of the original two-car sets, which gives each train more room than the single cars used when the station first opened.
For everyday needs, Soo Teck LRT station is well placed. Shi Fu Eating House is about 50 m away, roughly a one-minute walk, making it the quickest option for a meal, and TasteBud and Foodgle offer more food choices within a five to seven minute walk. Common Green, a park about 130 m from the station, suits a short stroll or a break outdoors.
Residents attending activities can reach The Lighthouse community club in about seven minutes on foot. For shopping, Waterway Point is around 570 m away, about a nine-minute walk, and Punggol Bus Interchange lies roughly 620 m from the station, around ten minutes on foot, for anyone wanting to continue their journey by bus.
