Riviera LRT Station
Riviera LRT station is an elevated stop on the Punggol LRT (East Loop), identified by the station code PE4. It sits on Punggol East in the Punggol district, on the stretch of road between its junctions with Punggol Central and Punggol Field. Like the other stops on this light rail network, it is raised above street level, so passengers reach the platforms from entrances below.

The station has two entrances, which serve landmarks such as Punggol Joint Temple, Punggol NPC and Punggol Promenade Riverside Park. Its everyday users are mainly people who live in the surrounding neighbourhood, along with visitors heading for the temple, the riverside park, or the shops and food centres within a few minutes’ walk. The name was chosen to fit the seaside theme used for stations in the area.
History of Riviera LRT station
The station began service on 29 January 2005, opening on the same day as the rest of the east loop. In January 2020, a crack was found on a plinth on the track next to the station, and one platform closed early for urgent repairs while trains kept running on the other. Two months later, in March 2020, Riviera was named as a future interchange with the Punggol branch of the Cross Island Line. The new platforms are now expected to be ready by 2032 after COVID-19 restrictions pushed the timeline back by a year, and the groundbreaking ceremony for the whole Punggol extension was held here on 10 October 2023.
Inside Riviera LRT station
Wheelchair users can rely on lifts and wider fare gates to move between street level and the platforms. Tactile flooring runs through the station to guide passengers with visual impairments.
Most trips from Riviera LRT station are short and local. For everyday errands, Punggol Plaza and Punggol New Market are each about a five-minute walk away, and the market and Koufu are handy for a quick meal. Common Green, roughly 280 m from the station, offers open space close by. Punggol 21 Community Club, also about five minutes on foot, hosts community activities for residents.
If you have more time, My Waterway@Punggol is about a 13-minute walk and makes a pleasant destination for a stroll along the water. Once the Cross Island Line platforms open, Riviera LRT station will also give residents a direct link to that line without first travelling to another hub.
