How the nearest MRT station finder works
The finder takes your phone or computer’s location and compares it with the position of every open MRT and LRT station in Singapore. The calculation happens in your browser, so your location is never sent to this website or stored anywhere.
Distances are measured in a straight line. Walking times add extra for streets and paths that do not run straight, at an easy pace, so treat them as a guide. Stations that are still being built are left out until they open.

How do I find the nearest MRT station to me?
Tap “Find the MRT station nearest me” at the top of this page and allow location access when your browser asks. The five closest open MRT and LRT stations appear with distances and walking times.
Is my location saved?
No. Your location is used only inside your browser to work out distances. It is not sent to this website, and nothing is kept after you close the page.
Does the finder include LRT stations?
Yes. Stations on the Bukit Panjang, Sengkang and Punggol LRT are included, so in those towns your nearest stop may be an LRT station that connects to the MRT network.
Why does it show stations far away?
If you are outside Singapore, or your browser can only give a rough location, the list shows the closest stations it can find. Turn on location services and try again, ideally outdoors.
